QUESTIONS

How much will it cost to have my piano tuned?

Our base price for a Standard Tuning within our service area is $125.00 per piano.

In addition, Pitch Corrections more than ±5 cents (5%) from A440 Standard Pitch are $30.00 to $125.00 extra depending on how far out of tune the piano is.

We'll consult with you about your piano's condition so you can make a decision regarding additional time and costs.

Please see our Services and Prices pages for more details.

What do I have to do to prepare for a piano tuning?

  1. Please clear all objects off the piano so the lid may be opened.
  2. Please remove hanging wall objects that may be struck and damaged by the piano lid.
  3. To ensure a quality tuning, please provide a mostly quiet environment (as much as possible). A noisy environment can make it very difficult to properly tune a piano.

How long will it take you to tune my piano?

Please allow 2 to 3 hours for general cleaning, inspection, minor adjustments & repairs, semi-moderate to moderate pitch corrections, and fine tuning.

A piano that hasn't regularly been serviced may require extra work. We'll consult with you regarding extra time, labor and costs.
