About

Chad Mitchell is the owner and operator of Arcadia Piano Service which he established in September 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Chad has been a Member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) since 2010 and is currently a Member of the Phoenix, AZ Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild. The PTG provides continuing education and learning opportunities for Piano Technicians around the world.
In 2010, Chad began studying Piano Technology via the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology Home Study Course. Shortly after, he began mentoring with Jim Coleman, Sr., a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) of Tempe, AZ.
In November 2015, Chad started doing occasional contract work for Stilwell Pianos in Mesa, AZ where he helped Prep, Tune, Repair, and Regulate their showroom pianos.

In December 2017, Chad started doing occasional contract work for Renner USA in Scottsdale, AZ where he helped Prep and Hang Renner Hammer Heads.
In May 2021, Chad graduated with a Certificate of Completion from the Renner Academy, a week-long comprehensive course taught by The Piano Industry’s Top Instructors who provide detailed course material and hands-on training in grand piano action rebuilding and repair, including action replacement and regulation, advanced hammer selection and preparation, hammer voicing, damper back action replacement, and damper regulation.
