Chad Mitchell Profile Picture

Chad Mitchell founded and runs Arcadia Piano Service, which he established in Phoenix, Arizona, in September 2011.

Chad has been a Member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) since 2010 and is actively involved with the Phoenix, AZ Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild. The PTG offers extensive continuing education and professional development opportunities for Piano Technicians globally.

In 2010, Chad started his journey in Piano Technology through the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology Home Study Course. Soon after, he began his mentorship with the late Jim Coleman, Sr., a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) from Tempe, AZ.

In November 2015, Chad took on occasional contract work for Stilwell Pianos in Mesa, AZ, where he was involved in Prepping, Tuning, Repairing, and Regulating their showroom pianos.

In December 2017, Chad took on occasional contract work for Renner USA in Scottsdale, AZ, where he assisted in Prepping and Hanging Renner Hammer Heads.

In May 2021, Chad graduated from the Renner Academy with a Certificate of Completion after an intensive week-long course in Grand Piano Action Rebuilding, Repair and Regulation. The program, led by The Piano Industry’s Top Instructors, included in-depth learning and hands-on experience in:

  • Advanced Action Regulation
  • Advanced Hammer Selection and Preparation
  • Hammer Voicing
  • Damper Back-Action Replacement
  • Damper Regulation
